 Royal Thai Navy  is looking at the possibility to lease the aircraft directly from Boeing. The Navy currently  has x3 P-3s Orions and nearly to retired all, but is having increasing difficulty keeping them operational.  however! RTN announced the purchase 2-3 of aircraft to replace its aging Maritime Patrol Aircraft  possibly as a temporary solution because RTN remained interested in the P-8A Poseidon
